I would never classify myself as a geek, I mean, I do love computers and cool gadgets, but that’s about as “geeky” as I get… and so my kids have never really been exposed to any gaming systems, until now.
For Eid we gifted the kids a Vtech V.Smile TV Learning System
to share, and since then I have been completely amazed by this little device!
The system comes with one game, an alphabet game, which was actually pretty cool, and enjoyable… even the kids liked it! haha
I really, really recommend this little system, it’s easy for the kids to use, they can practice writing, singing the alphabet, and even the “adventures” games involved letter and number recognition!
And… if you buy it from Amazon
(aff), you get the added bonus of a complimentary 1 year subscription of Cookie Magazine.

From the Beauty in Creation photo challenge where the theme last month was ‘happiness’, I thought that this was the perfect representation!
And for interested parties – here is a tutorial on how to make flip flop decorations for cupcakes by the wonderfully talented Zalita of course.

Being a web designer means that I have to keep myself inspired. Some days this is hard to do, very hard. Some days it just comes, it flows, it’s unstoppable!
One of the things that I do for inspiration is subscribe to photography blogs, craft blogs, and just cool, interesting, creative blogs about ‘stuff’.
One in particular is my favorite, it has been for a while now, maybe because it’s based in Toronto, where I call home, or maybe it’s his creativity and talent, or maybe it’s just because the photos are so awesome!

In the past 2 weeks, I single-handedly finished off a 24 can case of this mango juice! And yes, I am still on the weight loss thing!
Now, you could say, well, it’s better that it’s mango juice and not soft drinks! And yes, that would be correct, except that I don’t drink soft drinks and now instead of drinking mostly water like I normally do, I am drink mango juice with 32g of carbs per can!! Yeah me!
Seriously though, it’s very refreshing and yummy… for those of you that enjoy mangos. I got it at Costco. And the Philippine brand dried mango is also yummy!
