Here’s a little known fact about me… I LOVE bags! I really do!
I can’t afford coach and my handbag right now is a very conservative number from Nine West, but I absolutely love looking at bright, colorful, spirited bags… especially those that can be used as diaper bags!
Seriously, if I was not a web developer and I was sewing-inclined, I would sooooooo be making bags!!
Recently I discovered Bella Sera Baby and I am in love with her messenger-bag-or-backpack-style-diaper-bag! The designs are lovely and the style is perfect for getting out in summer!

I know absolutely nothing about the dad who runs the blog, Daddy Drama, and now I can’t remember how I came across it, but I do know that I really love it!

Honestly, I wonder how he finds these things… my husband would be lost trying to locate such great, fun stuff for kids… heck, I am lost when it comes to such things too!
Never mind the fact that I can’t afford most of the goodies that Daddy Drama finds, I still totally love them!
Now, go and enjoy! ![]()
Wendy Piersall, the emom at home, has an incredible blog full of resources for parents, or really anyone, working at home. In the relatively short time that I have been reading her blog, thanks to Kwiz, I have learnt so much and became a huge fan. One of the things I appreciate most about Wendy is the fact that she genuinely cares about others, and this clearly shows in her writing.
There are many, many articles that I found really interesting and helpful, and I have already linked to quite a few from this blog, but you should really visit her blog and add it to your blogroll because I’ve noticed that I actually read almost every one of her articles in its entirety.
A few days ago, there was an article that I really liked entitled, How to Get Laid Off on Maternity Leave and Come Out Ahead… it’s a really wonderful article, inspiring, informative, and may be just the encouragement that a lot of us need to put ourselves out there.
Wendy is having her 1st birthday party, and I am sponsoring a prize of a SEO-optimized custom site redesign!!
I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I have!
At the time that I was growing up in Trinidad, coffee houses were not popular, and I would be hard pressed to name even one place where people went to just relax with a cup of tea or coffee!
Even when I attended university in Toronto, and discovered the great Canadian love affair with timmy’s, I still thought the stuff was slightly revolting, although I did (and still do) love iced mochas!
My mom always said to me that at some point I will learn to enjoy a cup of tea… don’t you hate it how moms are always right?!
Turns out that I happen to love Tetley’s Chai! You see, although I may look like an authentic desi, I’m really not and as such I am not a huge fan of my mother-in-law’s a-little-too-spicy-chai, but the almost-authentic-chai by Tetley is perfect!
This morning, as I made breakfast for the kids, I put up a pot of tea as well, so as soon as I handed over breakfast and kids to my husband, I just sat in a folded chair in the kitchen and sipped my tea… And, you know what… I actually felt like those people in the commercials that have a sip and are magically taken to some peaceful, glorious place, far, far away from the reality of an insanely noisy household… Where I felt somewhat happier than my pre-first-sip self, when I just wanted to get back into bed and not see those little critters who believe that the littlest bit of natural light means it’s wake-up time!
Many thanks to the real Indians for Chai, and to Tetley for making it into an easy to use teabag!
Guidelines:
In a small pot, add in a tiny bit of water, and bring to a boil on high heat
Add in 1 teabag of Tetley Chai and 1 teabag of Orange Pekoe Tea
Put on medium heat and add in 1 cup of skim milk
Leave on for 5 minutes (adjust heat as required so that the milk does not burn)
Add sugar to taste
Serve and experience peace ![]()
