For many reasons, but mostly the shoveling, and the driving. And for your amusement, check out this urban igloo.

Awesome indeed

Photos courtesy of Organica, who came to help me babysit the kids. She assured me that she was really great with kids, you know, that I won’t have to worry about anything, I could relax and she would totally look after my kids. I am not one to refuse help. I really thought all was going well, until I came into the room unexpectedly and heard her telling the kids, “guys, repeat after me, come on now, Organica is awesome! Organica is awesome! Say it now.”

Umm, yeah, that really did actually happen!

She is awesome though! So far she’s shoveled my snow, made my breakfast, washed my dishes, offered to do the laundry (I thought that would be pushing it, so I gently declined), so… brainwashing my kids… eh, I am willing to overlook that one.

For those of you who loved the snow pics

I think I have a throat infection. AGAIN. Maybe.

Umm, ok and ummmmmm, ooooookkkkkk!

Ah, yummy food and more yummy food, although I do not eat bacon, I do totally love clam chowder, in fact, can someone bring some over to me right now?

Good tips for overcoming fear in the economic crisis, or just good tips on living life really. Mostly, I think, the key thing is to stay positive – sometimes it’s a miracle to accomplish, but try at least.

Hey, it’s almost the end of the year (yeah, in case you didn’t notice!) and here are some cool looking printable calendars. Are you glad 2008 is over? I must say it’s the year that dropkicked my ass into a great big abyss of “how did I get here and what do I do now”. But, it was also the year that taught me what it means to be strong, to be a mother, to sacrifice, and in many ways, what it really means to love. I am certainly not the type of person to utter the words “things cannot get any worse” because it can always get worse, but I will say that I am happy for the lessons learnt, though hard, and I hope 2009 will be slightly easier, although I am sort of bracing myself in case it’s even more difficult.

Alright, happy Friday people! smile

It snowed
