Roots

Did I mention that I was born in Trinidad? Yeah. But my ancestry is Indian, from like, India, although I really have no idea from what region. Now, it’s been more than 300 years since my Indian forefathers settled in Trinidad, so I think of myself only as Trini, but I mean, I am still ethnically Indian, right? Well, not according to some East Indians that I meet, who respond with “oh… so you are not a ‘real’ Indian!”
