My 3 hour long, butt numbing, movie watching experience

So last night I went with my almost-desi* friend to see a Hindi movie, Yuvraaj, I think this is only the second time that I’ve gone to a theatre to see a Hindi movie, and I think the first time I fell asleep. I was deeply concerned about the 3 hour movie-watching time that this undertaking involved. But, she insisted. Actually, she insisted we see Dostana, but it was sold out by the time we got there.
I said, well let’s go eat, and she said, no, there is something called “Yuvraaj”, let’s see that, I am in the mood for a Hindi film, and I said, dude, this better not be like a horror movie with a weird name, cuz then I’ll have to kill you! (oh, the irony of that statement) Anyway, she said, no, no, it’s a Hindi movie, come on, how bad can it be?
The highlight of my evening was that my belt fell off, I tied it too tight on my hip, which apparently cut of my circulation a bit, then caused me pain and not being able to walk due to my butt falling asleep while sitting in a chair for 3 hours! Well, ok, not really a “highlight”, but it happened and I was in pain for like an hour after, so I thought it should be mentioned first!
The movie started and the over-acting was incredible, we seriously wished that we could understand the language of the guys behind us because they sounded funny – we laughed anyways! The cheeziness was sometimes mystifying. We wondered out loud about the stupidity of the storyline. I made jokes. She gave me looks and then laughed. It was fun. The second half was good though, and when it was over, after 3 hours had elapsed and my butt was fast asleep, she turned to me and said “Shazia! You liked that movie!”, and then I had to admit “Yeah, it was alright”.
I really liked one song (minus the weird cats), and it’s now on my iPod, did I just admit that?
