So summer is around the corner… some days we need the air conditioning, some days we need the heat… thus is the nature of our great Canadian weather!

In the house, its gets to 28 degrees during the day, and down to about 14 degrees in the night, so I usually put the air conditioning on in the day and the heat on in the night. So last night, I think it was about a million degrees in the house… but of course we were too sleepy to go downstairs and switch to air conditioning! Or to even open a window for that matter!

What do kids do when its too hot??

They do NOT sleep!

10PM – Put newborn to bed

10:30PM – Put kids to bed

11:00PM – Put kids to bed

11:20PM – Put kids to bed

3AM – Newborn is up, I fed him and put him back

3:30AM – Preschooler is in my bed

4:00AM – Sqeezed between hubby and kid… a million degrees in the bed

5:00AM – Newborn is up again… now in our bed

6:00AM – Toddler is running into our room… and our bed

6:10AM – Makes hubby put preschooler back in his bed… hubby also disappears

6:20AM – I get up for a bit

6:30AM – Preschooler back in our bed… and so is hubby! But the newborn is in his crib

6:45AM – Hubby getting ready for work, kids drinking milk

7:10AM – Hubby leaving… I try to convince the kids to sleep some more

7:20AM – Newborn crying

7:25AM – Demanding kids to go to their own room to continue their LOUD and OBNOXIOUS behaviour

7:30AM – Try to ignore the 2 monkey, and get some more sleep with the newborn

7:32AM – Whatever!

So here we are, they only slept for about 6 and a half hours, as opposed to the usual 10! I just can’t wait for the rest of the day!
