Thoughts on my way to work

read more about:
stuff that I think about.
1) Wow, it’s cold. Like COLD. Hmm, I hate the cold. Like, really.hate.the.cold. Sigh.
2) Hope I don’t miss the train. Or get there like just in time, and then have to run. Because omg it’s cold. And running, in the cold, just not a good situation.
3) Got to remember to stamp my ticket. Because it’s been like 4 times already that I’ve been caught with no ticket. Miraculously I haven’t gotten fined so far. (If I am writing about this, chances are that I’ll forget and be fined! Such is the way of the internets. I’ll let you know!)
4) Is there anything better than Chocolate Almond Croissant? Hmm, nope, I don’t think so.
5) I really should address the state of my hair before I tie my hijab.
6) My feet feel numb. Is it the “hot” boots? The coldness? I am not sure. I feel like the socks that I am wearing are too thick for these boots and therefore are cutting off my circulation. Good think I have extra socks in my bag. (Yes, I always try to walk with extra socks!)
7) I haven’t had coffee since Friday. Wow.
8) Why does the dude sitting opposite keep staring at me? Even though I look like I am reading my book, I can still tell someone is watching me! Peripheral vision buddy. I think he’s wondering why my hijab is tied so weirdly and my hair looks like it’s tied weirdly. Maybe. I wonder if he can tell also that my feet are numb in my boots?
9) Good, we’re here. I need subway tokens.
10) Damn, it’s cold. Cold! Really very cold. Why is that woman not wearing a coat? Is she not cold? Nope, she is. I can tell cuz she’s smiling at me and trying to rush into the coffee shop ahead of me. Is a coat so hard to put on? Oh well. Coffee! Yay!
Thoughts from Mezba
What I don’t understand are Catholic school girls and miniskirts in this cold weather!
Oh wow, I had proper coffee today, for the first time in yonks! It was free as well… {grins}
Btw… Canada maybe not the best place to live if you hate the cold. It’s like me saying I hate the rain! Hello, English weather?!
Thoughts from shaz
Mezba - i know right! i don’t get it either.
Organica - Ahh!
iMuslim - what exactly does “yonks” mean?
Canada/cold: dude, i know! but i came here sort of against my will, and now i am stuck! lol. actually i love almost everything about this place except the cold - we can’t have everything right?!

Thoughts from sf
Imagine if we could read people’s thoughts, lol. Hey, I feel it too when someone’s looking/staring at me, I just *know*. LOL. I ask myself the same thing when I see a girl/woman scantily dressed during winter, “Don’t they feel cold?? Why are they shivering if they don’t want to wear something warm/decent?? And mmmm, what happens if she drops something and she has to bend down and pick it up??”, hehehehe, I do wonder that, ALOT! Shaz, check this link.

“Yonks” means “a long time”. I didn’t realize it was an English-ism! Hehe
Thoughts from shaz
carrie - well i had chai, which is also great, so i didn’t miss the coffee.
sf - haha, i can’t understand ppl who stare and who don’t wear enough clothes either! i’ll def check out that site.
iMuslim - ok, thanks! good to know. now i can use it in everyday conversation. like, wow, it’s been yonks since i’ve spoken to iMuslim!
