humor.Tonight my husband and I had a really quick trip to the grocery store together, as my mom was looking after the kids… I know what you’re thinking… we have a chance to go out together and we choose the grocery store! But, my friends, remember this, it requires me to have groceries!
Anyways, my husband decided that he would start choosing ingredients for me to cook dishes that he wanted… ummm, hello? He was the one that called it a crazy idea!
So, there we were, walking along the vegetable aisle, he with his beard, me with my headscarf, white guy next to us, and I said “I ain’t cooking nothin’ special for you, you know” only to look up and see our aisle neighbor looking at us in complete amazement!

My husband has tried a few times to tell me what to buy and make for meals. Frequently it will be for stuff I don’t even like. That just doesn’t work for me. If I’m doing the cooking I pick what is going to be made and most of the time I cook things that I like. Occasionally I’ll make something that he likes, that I don’t like.

It’s always so amusing to me when I get those looks!
I totally understand Surviving! I like almost anything, he is the picky one! But usually I make things that I know that all of us would eat… you know everything I make is easy and uncomplicated… he actually wanted me to make something complicated!
