Speedlinking & stuff to do in T.O.

read more about: speedlinking.

Couple weeks ago I went to Masti Mehndi Masala, and I must tell you that the website is far more spectacular than the actual event, well, at least in my opinion, but I did go with my “real” desi friend, who entertained me with her awesome accent and very dramatic stories!

If you’re in Toronto this weekend, you should check out the Taste of the Danforth and the Chinese Lantern Festival (I’m definitely going to the this one!)

And for the rest of the summer…

The CNE is always interesting.

I’m taking my kids to Centreville and also to Wonderland, but there are tonnes of events for kids this summer as part of KidSummer 2008

As for my book conundrum, today I received Griffin and Sabine in the mail and I don’t think that I’ve ever been this excited about a book before – because it has actual little letters in it, that are in actual little envelopes!! Oh.the.excitement! Thanks for the recommendation Mrs. Flinger!

I was disappointed too at the M!M!M!, well, though they had nice selections of tops/jewellery area. Centreville is fun for younger kids inshallah we’ll be taking the kids soon(dh will be on vacation). I love the CNE coz it’s very near my place. Shoppers drugmart sells discounted tickets for most of the events, so you can some $$$ and buy the kids some treats wink.
Wonderland is just too expensive though I would love to go there again soon inshallah. Do you come to Harbourfront centre @ Queensquay, it’s fun too, check out their websites for events. :D

Thoughts from Specs

Wow, i heard about that on some forums...i thought it was pretty okay...but well, I’m sorry you were disappointed.

sf - thanks for the shoppers drug mart tip, i didn’t know that. i saw some discounted tickets at my work, so that’s why i decided to go to wonderland, also i have not been in a few years. we managed to go to lion safari for the last 3 years, so i am skipping that place this time around! queensquay - not with a stroller - i am sort of anti-stroller, so i may be more adventurous once the little one is not longer in need of a stroller.

specs - it seemed cool from the ads, but not so much in real life! i did have the most awesome watermelon juice tho! yum!

Griffin and Sabine!
I haven’t thought about those books since college!
*sigh*
nice memories

Thoughts from shaz

Cakes - i’ve never heard about the book before now. i found it extremely fascinating and bizarre!
