On food

I cook a variety of food, and I really hardly ever repeat dishes (those of you who know me from waaay back, may remember when I actually went 6 months cooking something different everyday) to the extent that it’s not uncommon for my eldest to lament over the rare occasions that we have leftovers, as if it’s outrageous that I serve him the same thing more than once! There are things though, that I will never make, simply because my mom is an awesome cook and there is no possible way my version can ever compare, for example last night’s dinner…

I enjoy almost anything, I am not picky, but there are a few things that I really enjoy, one of those things is curry fish head, (yes, go ahead, gag if you must!) and clearly it’s a very unattractive dish, and I can guarantee not everyone will like it, but what can I say, it was yummy to me!

I love fish and curry fish too but not the head :(. How do you make your curry fish?? I use coconut milk. It’s actually my daughter’s favourite food too. I kinda repeat my dishes, wow, you don’t repeat???My kids are very picky, especially the oldest one(well, and dh too). They don’t like eating something that I just *created*.

Specs - ok, i never said that it was always great tasting different food! most times it’s pretty good, but sometimes it is pretty disastrous!

sf - she cooks it with the rest of the fish, i don’t think that she does anything special with it, well, she sort of fries it first, but i don’t really know if that’s a normal thing to do as i personally don’t cook it! my kids are pretty good with food, altho a lot of times their food is slightly modified - they hate mushrooms and red peppers, so i just don’t serve that to them…

oh yeah....i have seen cooked fish head.  but are u sure it’s for human consumption?  egad!  like there is no meat in the fish head
