Just 5 minutes!

Ever feel like just screaming “can I have just 5 minutes”!

I feel like this a lot.

Like the moment I come out of the shower and the kids are already following me around, and I have to hide in the closet trying to get dressed as fast as I can, not even having enough time to put some lotion on my seriously dry skin.

Like when I am trying to eat, holding the baby on my lap, while the kids run around the table.

Like when I wake up because a toddler is poking me and pulling my arms and a baby is crying to be fed.

Like as soon as I woke up this morning, and realized that I had severe back pain, and my husband left me with the 3 kids to go down (to do the laundry, but still…), and then didn’t come back up till after 2 diaper changes, a feeding, a fight, a lecture about sharing toys, punishment threats, new bedding, and kids asking for breakfast.

Just 5 minutes!

Thoughts from sondos

God help you! Major props to you. I have just one and I’m already whiny about missing “me” time. Just remember, this will pass and one day you’ll look back at these moments in adoration. These babies need you more than anything in their lives right now, and every minute you spend with them contributes to their overall well-being and self-esteem. God bless!

Thanks for the perspective… its true we have to focus on the fact that they do need us… I tend to lose sight of that in the hard times smile I guess this is what we need to do, support each other!
