Every time I need to get my husband a gift, well, almost every time, I suggest a watch because men watches are also fascinating, but he’ll most likely always say no, and then I’ll go look at watches anyways, you know, cuz it’s fun!
His gift will almost always end up being some type of toy, for example, lego or more lego, or gaming thingies, or some type of model car, or… you get the idea! It’s fun, let me tell you!
Anyways, this time, he actually doesn’t mind a watch!! Wow! Imagine my excitement! Well, actually, he said that it needs to be a completely black watch. Ooooh, a mission!
So… whatcha think? It’s kinda hard to find all black watches in the “thrifty” price range!
(unlike my preference of rectangular faced watches for women, I think that circular faces are much better for men’s)

Salams. I got a Citizen Eco-Drive watch for my husband on our 10th anniversary. Waited for a sale at JCPenney. It is solar powered so no battery replacement issues. I need to get one for myself because i’m so tired of the battery running out every year and having to buy a new watch. I don’t have time to go watch shopping or battery replacing like i used to.

There’s this place on Kipling(near the subway station)and Queensway that has deals on watches, can’t remember the address though, maybe you should go and check out their selections. They advertise on the paper that you save like 40% off. I haven’t bought anything there so can’t say if it’s *real* brands or not. I love Guess watches or Timex for men. 
Hope his birthday is not too soon atleast you can get time to shop around!
I like the colour of the 3rd and the design of the 2nd. I like the circular part of 1st, but not the actual face.

Mona, solar powered...sounds good! except I don’t think i’ve ever got to the point where i needed to change my watch battery...i either always move on or lose them. sigh.
