Our vacation took us through about 12 states, and 6 days of driving… add in a completely packed minivan and 3 small kids and it’s nothing short of a miracle that we made it back with our sanity!
To be totally honest, this was one of the best vacations I have ever had, it may have been the fact that we escaped the snow and ice and enjoyed the lovely warm weather (that alone is cause for celebration), but I believe it was just simply enjoying my kids without the guilt of having to work.
Their imagination on the long journey, their laughter, their contentment to spend time with us, their wonder when they experienced new things, their excitement, their resting faces at the end of each full-filled day.
Their spirit was hard to ignore, it was contagious, we spent almost every moment with them, and loved it!
When it ends, it’s sad but when we finally got home, they were ecstatic, even though it was 10pm, they were all smiles, no place like home eh!

Thoughts from Maliha
Salamaat,
I am glad you are back and happier that you enjoyed yourselves so much. You deserved the fun and break
Huggzzz…take care and don’t get back too fast into the “swing” of things.
Salam Shazia,
Alhamdulillah on your safe return. I can’t imagine a 6-day drive, you are really brave! I’m happy you had a good time. It is nice to spend quality time with your husband and children. And i feel these kind of getaways are important from time to time so you can get a break from everything and come back refreshed, especially with the kind of fast life we live here in the west. Have fun unpacking now LOL

maliha, salaams, too late – already back in the swing, and feeling kinda sad already :(
mona… we have mountains of laundry! which apparently cannot be done until we can find a laundry basket, according to the mousehunter… do ummmm, yeah… fun!
And it was only a 3 day drive one way, so we didn’t have to do all 6 days at once.
That is wonderful….what a great holiday.
Man our family needs one!
Sounds like it was wonderful and refreshing and here’s hoping that that enjoyment and the memories of all the fun you had can get you through to the next time you can be together like that again. Happy LT. Glad you’re back safe and that your time was good.
