So, November 14th is World Diabetes Day, did you know this? Well now you do! You can learn about diabetes champions or consider making a donation to help people affected by diabetes (btw, I designed the site). And, no, I don’t have diabetes, and thankfully neither do my kids, but having worked at the association for more than a year, I do have friends who are affected by diabetes.
Anyway. Completely unrelated and on the lighter side, I am apparently getting fond of this Jay Sean dude and his songs… his do you remember is also “play-on-repeat” worthy! And if he grows some stubble there, pretty easy on the eyes too… just sayin’.
Ahmm, what else is going on? Whole new blog redesign I think… as soon as I can manage it. I am moving to WordPress, well back to WordPress, for those of you interested… going full circle, as I started off on WordPress, hated it, actually despised it, then, 4 years later, heading back except now I think WordPress totally rawks!!
Ok, so anything you guys want to say? Questions? Concerns? Rant? My blog is your blog…

Well, i’ve been diabetic since 1974 and i had never heard of World Diabetes Day.
I’m loving WordPress and it seems to beat the competition hollow in so many respects. Dynamic, ambitious team behind it too. :0)

hey Mand! well, i am glad that i could introduce you to it then! i’ve gotten to be quite knowledgeable on diabetes this past year. i hope that you are doing well!
I really appreciate your efforts and working with such organizations. Those who have diabetes or not, should follow your ideas in reducing risk and mortality due to diabetes.

The one thing about diabetes is that there are so many things to have, that are so much worse. ;0) And it keeps you fit, basically - i’ve had my blood count, blood pressure, eyes etc checked yearly all my life and am far more aware of when i’m safe driving (in terms of fatigue etc) than most people.

Mand, it’s true - diabetes is soo manageable. the sad thing is that so many ppl just don’t take care of themselves. i went to a diabetes expo on the weekend, targeting south asian, since are in a high risk group for diabetes and it’s amazing how many ppl just don’t both to get checked out or even take care of themselves when they have prediabetes.
