I am an idiot!.
The gym that I go to does these monthly measurements, so, you know, people like me who do not own a bathroom scale, can tell if we’re actually losing weight. Yesterday I had myself measured… yeah, I am still fat but that’s not my point… my measurements are the same as it was the last time I got measured, which was way back in January (you know, the funk and all)... So, I wondered for a while how it’s possible that I do kickboxing 3 days a week, still go to the gym, and have not lost any weight.
Then, I happened to take a look into our “snack area”...

I think that I may be slightly addicted to chips… slightly!
WOW, that’s a whole lotta chips!!!! Sun Chips are really good though… I haven’t had chips in a while. Now i kinda want some. ... hmmm.

I think dh eats more chips/chocolate/pop than any of us. Am not crazy about the stuff though am still carrying some extra weight :(
Oh. My. God. Can I come and stay at your place? Don’t stress about the weight thing - I think fitness is way more important. I haven’t lost any weight going to the gym 7 days a week (4 of those days I go twice a day) plus I’m eating healthy stuff. I feel good about myself though and am never tired or getting headaches anymore. Mashaallah.

Tasmiya- you need to excercise when you goto the gym just going doesn’t count LOL!. BTW why you go twice a day for 4 days?

Sorry for the late comment.
I think your gym people can confirm this face for you: if you’re playing a sport that uses a lot of muscle (like squash) you’re supposed to GAIN weight. The fat that you lose is replaced by muscle and muscle is heavier than fat. In fact, if you’re still the same weight, you’ve last about two times as much fat as the muscle you’ve gained. Hope I’ve made some sense here...i know i don’t write very coherently. :(
But hey, from me to you, congratulations on the weight loss!
