Umm, not that it’s something to boast about, I mean, it is IKEA…
I really love IKEA, I love it for the simplicity, the solutions, the flexibility, the AS-IS sections, and of course, the price! We all know that there are also downsides, like having to put everything together with the teeny, tiny, allen key and the “questionable” quality of a lot of their items, but if you’re like me, you have kids that destroy things anyways, so you’re not looking for long-lasting solutions!
From toys to teacups, spoons to sofas, fabrics to fry pans, I have it all, well, except for appliances or mattresses.
Most favorite is my precious workspace:

Most regretted purchase:

For $89, it’s such a complete waste of money! I bought it from the website, so I didn’t really know until I got it how small and cheaply made it was, but oh well…
Most likely to be used for something other than the intended purpose:

From tents to rocket ships, and most recently race cars, these chairs can do it all!
Most useful:

I think IKEA has the best affordable clothing storage solutions but what I really needed was a solution for my kitchen! I decided to convert one of their wardrobes into a makeshift pantry (food is stored on a large top shelf – not shown) with some of the wire drawers for snacks, containers, and the millions of plastic crap that we own (sorry green folks), and a large area for the small appliances. It actually works exceptionally well, and my kids can easily get dishes from “their” drawer!
Most frequently used:

I have 3 kids – need I say more?!
Most frequently NOT used:

They love their beds, but they sleep on a mattress in our room!
Most useful for work at home parents:

In my opinion the cutest, functional children’s furniture can be found at IKEA. I completely love this table and stool set that lives in our office and the kids do everything their from ‘academic’ work to crafting to playing on the computer.
What are your IKEA goodies?
Oooh oooh! We have those plates, too. Godsend, I tell you.
We have those plates too! Loved your Ikea tour just as much as I love Ikea (which is tons!) The pantry idea is so cool, I can never get enough of good organization/storage.

Yay, Ikea fans unite! I love their lighting products—the red desk lamp with three wheels is my favorite. And the drafting tables with adjustable leg height for tall ppl like me
.
But 108? Wow, salute!
PS. I see you have a roti-roller . Mousehunter likes his bread home-made, eh?

Tasmiya - I know eh! I just completely love the whole set of kiddie dishes from ikea.
Yolanda - thanks! The kitchen storage thing is very cool, i really recommend it!
Em - yay!
I do love the lighting as well, we have a bunch too! haha.
So the roti-roller, LOL, no, I don’t use it - my mom bought it for me and it kinda just sits there until someone visits me and want to cook roti! Mousehunter just eats what i cook, haha.

We don’t shop much at IKEA but I have 4 sets of duvet covers with pillow cases(got them for $9.99 each), couldn’t resist a bargain. I also got some vases(2), one is long broken and one is *hidden* away.

I have still never been inside of an IKEA but my absolute favorite IKEA by way of Ebay purchase were 12 tin candles holders with punched holes along the sides. One day I’ll go in and experience what you all rave about.

That’s awesome Shaz! Love your pantry idea with the pull out shelves. I love seeing what others come up with for storage solutions.

my favourites are my poang, the cheap but handy dressers, and the dining table that doubles/halves in size.
We love IKEA too. Our most recent purchase was a couch from them. That was a surprise when it came in parts and we had to assemble it lol. We have bought plenty from there and assembled it but we never expected to assemble a couch!
They have great stuff for great prices. I love their fabric, kids stuff, kitchen stuff, organizing stuff and so much more. So durable, cheap and functionable.
