Breakfast for 3

Occasionally I give my kids a choice at breakfast time, mostly because I have given them precious little in terms of a selection for this most important meal of the day, so I know that I can handle their requests.

The orders came in, as anticipated, pancakes for one, and toast with eggs for the other.

I forced lovingly asked my husband to come help with breakfast this morning since he was at home and I spent most of the night awake with the baby. He reluctantly enthusiastically came down from his office to help!

Me: Can you please peel the fruits for the baby, an apple, an avocado, and an orange, and wash them first
Mouse-hunter: Why? He is not eating the skins!
Me: Huh? And, blend them when you are done
Mouse-hunter: What??? I am not doing that!
Me: What will you do if I am not here?
Mouse-hunter: Men are very resourceful! If there are resources available, we will find them!

Translation: He would feed the baby bottle food. (Which I do as well, but I still try to make fresh fruits a few times a week)

He ended up making the egg and buttering toast, while I finished pancakes, peeled and blended the fruits, and started feeding the baby…

Salamaat,
So cute…i have no idea why my comments get lost on this blog (i commented on the last post :( )

The tasks a mother completes in a given day! I just can’t wrap my mind around it.

Mouse-hunter! You are not amusing me. Let’s “enthusiastically” take Shazia’s order for breakfast tomorrow smile
