Why doesn’t Toronto look like this in winter?? That would be so totally awesome! smile

Cheesecake Factory cheesecake people! I am not sure that anything tastes better! I will say that although they do have quite a selection, original is simply the best. This time I also had chocolate mousse cheesecake and that was delicious too.

I saw Avatar over the weekend, it is a fantastic movie that everyone should watch. After it was done, I had to sit there for a few minutes because I think I was emotionally overwhelmed! The parallels to the state of the world today is phenomenal – it’s a very powerful movie, with a very powerful message. I think it could be the best movie I’ve ever seen in my life! Go watch it!

All I want for Christmas is Holmes!

So, they’ve plastered the entire subway with Sherlock Holmes movie posters, and I find it particularly difficult to look away from Holmes.

I mean, behold…

Seriously. I really can’t say that I have too many thoughts about the movie, and I am not really a Sherlock Holmes fan per se, but I am a fan of Robert Downy Jr. and his stubble. Clearly!

Ahem, anyway, as you were…

Before the movie was released, I started to read the book, but I never actually finished it. Somewhere around the middle, it got too real for me and I had to stop. I most likely then pulled out Sophie Kinsella, and yes, I’ve read all her books!

With the book, it felt like I could relate way too much to Nathaniel (a musical genius who lives on the street), it was at a time in my life that I could see how fine the line between sanity and “not” was… It just really stood out how easily emotions could overwhelm us, and I honestly was a bit scared that there was a real possibly that I could end up being coherent only to myself!

Anyway, I watched the movie last night and it was pretty good – much, much lighter. I felt it was very inspirational. I enjoyed it more that I did the book (although it was very well written), and of course it helped a lot that Robert Downey Jr with his unkempt stubble looked pretty darn hot!

I have felt for a long time that mental illness does not get as much public attention as it deserves, and we, as a society do very little to help people affected with emotional/mental problems, so I am glad that the movie brought more awareness to this issue.
