Every once in a while, I love to do something really girlie, or, more accurately, I like to pretend I have a daughter, ahem, hang out with little girls. So I shipped off my boys for the day and Sid and I hosted a tea party for us girls.
While the “grown ups” chatted at the table, I played with 6 little girls. We played musical chairs, ring around the rosie, did crafts, and then I said “girls, I don’t know any girlie movies, do you like Transformers?” and as I looked at each of them in anticipation, each of them shook their head and looked at me a little disgusted that I would even suggest it! It was great!

Poor aunty sid will not be pleased that I posted a picture of her with that scary expression, and she’ll most likely find a way to punish me, but oh well… I look too darn cute not to share! hahahah

So, we may or may not have a whole lot to talk about in these parts sometimes, because somehow the subject of “hottest superhero” was discussed in great detail over the weekend.
Apparently there was a ‘study’, and I use that term very lightly, done and the top 2 superheroes to spend time with were Wolverine and Iron Man, and just for general knowledge, the least favored was Hulk. Sid, or Super Sid, either way works just as well, has declared that her most favorite superheroes were in fact Wolverine and Iron Man, she was quite pleased that her choices matched the ‘study’ as she had given a tremendous amount of thought to the matter.
I, however, not being an avid fan of superheroes in general, sort of struggle to come up with even 1 that I would like to spend any length of time with. As you may or may not know, Transformers is my favorite movie of all time, or, well, the movie I have seen the most number of times at any rate, but I am not quite certain that Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are really the dinner-companion types.
I will have it noted though, that I do think Wolverine is totally hot albeit not much of a conservationist. Iron Man is possibly entertaining and fun, but I am not entirely sure I am a fan of any type of extended dark and brooding personalities. I am actually very fond of witty, funny, and boyish charm… know any superhero with such characteristics?

sister: So, I finished that book, I liked the guy in it.
me: I know! He’s totally hot! My most favorite fictional guy!
sister: Hmm, well, I don’t know if I love him that much! I think I still like Edward the most.
me: Edward? Hm. He’s so, umm, boring and over-protective.
sister: So?
me: And he can’t even have facial hair cuz he’s a vampire.
sister: Yeah, good point. No stubble would be a problem, but still…
me: Dude is a super rich business guy who wears jeans to meetings! Jeans and a tshirt, stubble, AND the gentle loving gaze… sorry, what is not to love about that?!
Something like 22 years ago, my cousin, in all her awesomeness at about 13 (I think), introduced my sister and I to not only a new song, but also the accompanying dance. It became a genre of music that I listen to still now albeit with lyrics that usually make no sense and most of the time should not even be listened to, but anyway…
What’s funny is that if you get all 3 of us in a room with this song, I can guarantee that we’ll belt off not only words, but also the exact same moves! Because, what they say is true – some things really never change!
