The kids are now in bed… my husband had the most enjoyable task of brushing and bathing, then we both got them dressed and into bed, he fell asleep with them, as usual.
After they got into bed, I went back downstairs to pack away the leftovers, clean up the kitchen, and wash even more dishes! Now, I am catching up on some work.
You may want to check out my most recently launched site, GlobalComment, there are great articles, contributed by a wide variety of writers. The editor, Natalia, was completely amazing and fun to work with!
I am not going to bed yet, but I pretty much work until about 12-1am.
So, what’s your day like??

Wow, the office is so peaceful and quiet, almost surreal right now… and my kids are sooo going to school tomorrow, I think 2 days off is as much as I can handle!
Finally my husband is home, and of course feeding the kids (mash potatoes, corn, chicken), I quickly put their food out for them and escaped.
So, since my last update, they ate nuggets, drank juice, drank milk, drank water, then apparently were still thirsty! One of them, notorious for making couch messes and other type of messes decided it would be fun to draw all over the couch with a pen, the littlest one has been asking for plastic knives for the entire evening, and the eldest desperately wants to sleep, or so he says while he runs around the living room.
I had a brief “staff meeting” with the fabulous new ‘voice’ of nisaa and amazing blogger iMuslim (you’re welcome for the mention iMuslim!), I answered some more emails, assessed and prioritized my work for tonight, and then sat with the kids for a bit (no, I did not play with them today, sadly, but you know, sometimes there really is no need to interfere in their elaborately plotted pretend games!).
Stay tuned!

Unfortunately I only got 1 out of 3 kids to actually nap, so the other 2 have just been giving me a headache, because honestly, if I don’t have some time alone during the day, I tend to lose it slightly.
It’s now 3pm… since my last update, I tried to stay with the kids so that they would nap, but clearly patience is not my area of expertise, so I quickly gave up! At least the baby was asleep. I answered some more emails, while my kids again were talking very LOUDLY, and playing a game that involved phones, cameras and a gps, I washed some more dishes (does it ever end?), I served them some snacks, and now I am cooking some chicken nuggets, which I made with chicken breast and shake & bake. Oh, and I changed 2 more diapers. The fun never ends, let me tell you!
I also did catch up on some blogs, and I decided that right now I would much rather be here…

It’s now 12:25pm and I am trying to get my kids to take a nap… sadly, I am failing miserably! They are currently singing LOUDLY in the bedroom, as I type this and choose to ignore them.
So, let me not keep you in suspense any longer, after my last update, I changed 3 diapers, took the older 2 to the toilet at the same time (no, not on the same toilet, michelle), one upstairs and one downstairs. I watched them play “pretend to be grownups”, which in all honestly was one heck of an amazing game! I washed some more dishes, swept the floor, cleaned up, did a tiny bit of work, had a couple phone calls, and chatted on IM some more.
Wow, are you still awake?
I am going to argue with the kids a little now, be back soon!

I think that I’ve mentioned Nisaa a few times before; it’s a muslim women community that I started about a year ago. One of the most popular features of Nisaa has been the weekly articles, written by a few talented women, on a wide variety of topics.
We’re starting a new podcast segment on Nisaa, and we hope to give you a glimpse into our thoughts and lives. The host, whose blogging pseudo name is iMuslim, is wonderful to chat with and listen to, so I do hope that the series will be beneficial and enjoyable!
The first podcast features me, so umm, please be kind.
