2 year old: Mommy! Mommy! I am here!Me: Wow, how reassuring!
2 year old: I am Batman!
Me: Ok Batman!
2 year old: Nooooo! I am Superman!!!!
Me: Uh, ok, Superman!
2 year old: Yeah!

And in my dream
Said the 4 year old, “Everyone was playing football with a basketball, and then the giant T-Rex came in the door and asked me if he could play too, and I said “umm, yes”, and then he played with us!” Then his aunt asked “Who is us?”, his face gleamed with delight as this question was confirmation that he did, in fact, have an audience, “Well, it was grandma, and me…” he trailed off. “So, just you and grandma where playing football?” she was intrigued I think, he answered promptly, “ohh, no, not just us, we were playing with all the dinosaurs! hahah and it was football with a basketball!”
Chef wanted!
5 year old: Can we go downstairs? I am HUNGRY!!
Me: Ummm, yeah, ok, in a second
Mousehunter: Why do you look like you didn’t get any sleep?
Me: Ummm, I don’t know, I feel like that
5 year old: Guys? Can we go downstairs?
Me: Ummm, yeah, ok, in a second
5 year old: Oh man! I wish we had a chef!
What to expect when bowling with kids
1) The balls will weigh more than the kids, so make sure they don’t try to run with it, surely it will end in disaster!
2) The really little kids will be very tired by around the 7th frame, but it’s all good cuz they will willingly give up their turn to anyone who wants it!
3) The older kids will have a GRAND time, and ask to play more and more and more!
4) Occasionally, as the adult, you’ll get to play and then you’ll wonder if a strike is really a strike if the rails are up!
5) Kids are really cute when they are bowling, but at some point the task of controlling the whole bunch of them becomes a bit overwhelming, and at that point, it’s a good idea to call it a day!
I actually love bowling, but I haven’t gone a whole lot since I’ve been either pregnant or with a newborn for the past few years, but I think that I am going to make an effort to go because it is a lot of fun!!
