2 year old: No!

Me: But if you eat, you will get muscles!

2 year old: Yeah?

Me: Yeah!

2 year old: Like “5 year old”?

Me: Yeah…

2 year old: And like “4 year old” too?

Me: Umm, yeah…

2 year old: Hahah. O.K!

Apparently warmth is not only welcomed with joy and celebration, but also much, much trepidation!

2 year old: Ahhhhhhhh, bug! bug!

*Shakes with fear, while screaming like the bug is tearing him apart limb by limb!*

When “cute” is just not descriptive enough

I was sitting with my 2 year old feeding him yogurt, and when it was finished, he asked for the spoon and the empty-ish container, and once I slowly relinquished it to him, he splattered me with some of the yogurt remains… I exclaimed, I think “what are you doing, give me that!”, and went to the kitchen to wash the stuff off my face…

Then, as I was wiping my face, he came into the kitchen and said “mad…me?”

Now, lemme hear an “awwww”...
