Last Saturday we had nothing planned, but as you know it is summer and summer days are not to be wasted inside…
My sister: Where do you want to go?
Me: Dunno, where do you want to go?
My sister: Umm, why don’t we go watch planes?
Me: Uh, whatever….
Kids: Yeah, planes! Yey!!
Me: Ok, planes it is then!

My Sister: I am so fascinated and amazed by planes!
Me: Yeah?
My sister: Why? Arn’t you?
Me: Umm, not so much, I think I am more fascinated by trains (totally not being sarcastic)
My sister: *Look of utter disbelief and slight disgust* Wow, I think I am more fascinated by a fax machine than a train!

Me: Alright, let’s get out of here. What do you want to do now?
Kids: Ice Cream!

So, if you’re looking to spend $25 for 5 people to have “fun”, then you need to go watch planes and then have dessert! Actually, the kids had a blast.

Remember how I said that I wanted a new bag, and remember how I was also looking for a laptop bag? Well, I found one…

…that is large enough to fit my laptop, but cool enough to use as a regular bag! It’s from enyce, which is a whole generation or 2 more hip than I can ever be, but I do love the bag!

So, I went to see x-files, the movie, over the weekend, because, yes, I was a big x-files fan, although I sort of stopped watching at the end of the series so I have no idea what happened. Anyway, that didn’t seem to matter.
TIP: AMC has half-priced tickets for all shows before noon – apparently I was the only one who knew that… because I have kids and I always take them to pre-noon shows!
The movie was like a really long episode of CSI, in my opinion at least, except with Mulder and Scully, of course. There was nothing extremely paranormal, or even excessively bizarre, and somehow it felt a little like a bad love story… sort of. But, it was alright – there was no way I was paying full price to watch it, so I dragged my sister to the theater at 11:15 in the morning! Although, I actually do prefer to go to the movies either in the day, or really late on weekday nights – because it’s not too crowded, and there are almost no teenagers!
Anyone else seen it? Or planning on it?

5 year old: You know, I really feel like I am growing!
4 year old: Me too! I feel a lot of bones in my head!
5 year old: Duuude! That does not mean that you’re growing, we always have bones in our head!
4 year old: Well, I feel some muscle in my head too!
